Collaborative Time of Arrival (CToA) for Enhanced Indoor Positioning
Collaborative time of arrival (CToA) is an advanced indoor positioning method aimed at enhancing the scalability of existing IEEE802.11/Wi-Fi-based systems. It leverages IEEE802.11 fine timing measurements (FTM) available in state-of-the-art Wi-Fi chipsets and supports two operational modes. In 'client-mode', CToA facilitates GPS-like positioning indoors, enabling an unlimited number of clients to privately estimate their positions without exposing their presence to the network.
